Causative 'Have' & 'Get'

The sentence use to ask/order someone to do the things that we are going to do

Kalimat yang digunakan untuk menyuruh orang lain melakukan sesuatu yang akan kita lakukan

B. How to use / Pemakaian

1. Causative have :

                Pattern / Rumus :

                a. active : S + Have* + O + V1

                b. Passive : S + Have* + O + V3

* Have/Has/Had = depend on the tenses, the subject, and the time that we used

* Have/Has/Had = tergantung pada tenses, subjek, dan waktu yang digunakan

      Example / Contoh :

      a. The director has the secretary type the letters

      b. The director has the letters typed (by the secretary)

      c. Yesterday, she had the man wash the bike

      d. Yesterday, she had the bike washed (by the man)

      e. I have Tika close the door 

      f.  I have the door closed (by Tika)

2. Causative Get 

                Pattern / Rumus :

                a. active : S + Get* + O + to V1

                b. Passive : S + Get* + O + V3

* Get/Gets/Got = depend on the tenses, the subject, and the time that we used

* Get/Gets/Got = tergantung pada tenses, subjek, dan waktu yang digunakan

      Example / Contoh :

      a. The director gets the secretary to type the letters

      b. The director gets the letters typed (by the secretary)

      c. Yesterday, she got the man to wash the bike

      d. Yesterday, she got the bike washed (by the man)

      e. I get Tika to close the door 

      f.  I get the door closed (by Tika)
